THYRATRON Electronic Applications was established in 1992 in Kydonies, Vassiliko Erymanthou (Achaia) and its main purpose is the study, development, construction and sale of electronic devices and systems. To date, the company has been involved in the following sectors: control and automation systems, security, fire detection and warning systems, automatic calling systems for security systems, automatic callers for lifts, diagnostic instruments for internal combustion engines of ships, freezer control instruments, voltage stabilisers & monitors, voltage and frequency monitors, recording instruments (acceleration, temperature, pressure, rotations, sound, torsion), wireless asset control systems. 96% of the company's products are directly or indirectly exported to 24 countries and are adapted to the requirements and specifications of its 'OEM' clients. The expenditures that took place within the framework of the action concerned both the procurement of basic engineering equipment and control systems to strengthen and support the company's extroverted orientation towards new international markets (new products and new target-markets) and IT, promotion and consulting services for more effective promotion and recognisability of the new products. Upon completion of the plan, the enterprise was able to respond to international competition and the more general economic crisis, optimising its existing partnerships in foreign countries and creating new international destinations for its products, taking advantage of both its tangible and intangible infrastructure (existing and new).
