NORTH CATERING EQUIPMENTS, founded in 1983, produces professional catering equipment, such as professional ovens-stoves, fryers-griddles, etc. Most of these products are powered by electricity & gas. The goal of the enterprise, through the preliminary controls for the design of new products and through the design of new products made possible by this investment, was to expand its presence in new markets abroad, particularly in Russia.  The company invested a total of 69,955.00 euro, co-funded by the EPAN II 'COMPETITIVENESS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP' 2007-2013 programme.

The investment funds were used for participation in the PIR trade fair in Moscow, as well as the Host exhibition in Milan, and for acquiring a GOST-R certificate, which is required for the Russian market. Additionally, the company designed an electric circuit (Printed Circuit Board-PCB) that is used in many of its existing products, as well as in new products, to measure temperature and time, giving an audio warning, indicating errors and operation, controlling thermal power resistance and automatically spraying water. Finally, the company designed new catalogues in Greek and English, aiming at the global promotion of its new products.

Through these actions, the enterprise developed differentiated products and achieved its main goal, which was to enter the Russian market.
